Dear Friends at Oakmont Visual Aids Workshop,

My name is Stephanie Gae, a teacher and also a person with visual impairment. I was one of the recipients of the tactile books/learning kits you sent to the Philippines last February 2023, and I want to take this moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The learning kits you shared have been such a blessing, not only to my students but also to me as their teacher. I have used them many times in class, especially when teaching beginners. They became my reliable tools in assessing and guiding my learners as they develop their compensatory skills. Every time I see their faces light up when they explore the tactile materials, I am reminded of how powerful your support truly is.

As a teacher with visual impairment, I know the struggle firsthand. In my province, it is very difficult to find resources like tactile or even Braille learning materials. Many times, I felt limited in what I could give my students. But when your package arrived, it felt like a door opened—not just for my learners, but for me as well. It gave me hope, courage, and the tools to keep moving forward despite the challenges.

Please know that what you are doing reaches far beyond just sending materials. You are touching lives, giving confidence, and opening opportunities for learners and teachers who often feel left behind. I am truly grateful to be one of the many people blessed by your mission.
